How your baby BOY is growing: (37 weeks down now in my 38th)
Your baby is now considered "full term," even though your due date is three weeks away. If you go into labor now, his lungs will likely be mature enough to fully adjust to life outside the womb. (Some babies need a bit more time, though. So if you're planning to have a repeat c-section, for example, your practitioner will schedule it for no earlier than 39 weeks unless there's a medical reason to intervene earlier.)
Your baby weighs 6 1/3 pounds and measures a bit over 19 inches, head to heel (like a stalk of Swiss chard). Many babies have a full head of hair at birth, with locks from 1/2 inch to 1 1/2 inches long. But don't be surprised if your baby's hair isn't the same color as yours. Dark-haired couples are sometimes thrown for a loop when their children come out as blonds or redheads, and fair-haired couples have been surprised by Elvis look-alikes. And then, of course, some babies sport only peach fuzz.
Just last night we finally narrowed down our name selection and are very comfortable with the two we have picked. Now to decide which one he will be! I think we need to see this lil guy to pick out just the right one!
I went in for another doctors appointment today and found out that I am extremely soft and the baby's head is right there ready to make his debut!! My doctor said that I will not make it to my due date and that I might not make it to my next appointment on Wednesday. So we are ready!

Finger print maker caught in action! |
Charlotte will be 21 months old next week! She seems to grow so much each day and each week. The email updates I receive and the books I have been reading tell me that she will learn up to 5 words a day.. she might not say them but she will learn them. So we need to keep up the reading and maybe buy some more books!
Charlotte is now down to one good 3-4 hour nap a day and sleeps 7pm-730am every night. She is in a great mood until it is nap time/bed time.. it is like clockwork..you can slowly see her melting. I have learned all of the clues and know exactly when it will happen!
Practicing her BIG SIS skills! |
She can now buckle baby into the highchair and the swing! |
