Lucy is 5 months

Lil miss Lucy turned 5 months! She is a rollie pollie these days and is getting closer to sitting up on her own! She is still a small thing and still wearing her 3 month clothes but she can take down a bottle like the best of them!
5 months in our house also means allergy testing time. Because of Charlotte's severe allergies we have decided to test early before we introduce food for the first time.
Turns out Lucy is allergic to egg whites just like Charlotte but much lower. Lucy's level was 2 and Charlotte's was a level 4. The doctor is pretty confident she will outgrown her allergy to egg whites with time but for the next 6 months we need to avoid it before until we retest again.
Here is the test levels to better explain it

Breaks my heart to do this but witnessing an allergic reaction is even worst. This picture also shows how Lucy's funny hair has stayed ;)

Happy birthday Grammy

Grammy celebrated her birthday with her crazy great grandkids! Matthew(2 1/2yrs) with baby Lucas(4weeks) George(2yrs) Lucy(5 months) getting her hair done by Charlotte(3yrs). One more great grand baby boy due this January!

Vacation to wine country

Started off the trip in San Francisco to visit A good friend of ours, Blair. We went on an early hike to soak in the beautiful scenery and breath in the fresh ocean air.

The girls. Erin, Blair, Leigh and myself

First winery of the trip and first glass of the trip! Ramsgate winery was absolutely beautiful and very tasty! Great way to start off the trip. We had a great guide to our wine tasting and tour!
Here is Ferrari Carano winery! It was a must see on the my list and it did not disappoint! A little bit bigger and than the other boutique family owned wineries but the wine went down the same ;)
Fabulous dinner at Dry Creek Kitchen! Why not celebrate a belated 30th birthday?!

Another must do on the girls list... La Crema!

The girls at Hanna winery. Perfectly tucked into the rolling hills of grapes
The boys at Hanna. More enthusiastic about the wine than the photo

Why not hit up the country's only champagne cellar?! Korbel was delish and very informative. It was settled in between millions of redwood trees!

Last winery but definitely not least on the list. Artessa! Beautiful and well worth fitting it in the itinerary!

It was a great trip and would gladly go back again! We learned so much and drank and ate too much but it was well worth it. We sure missed our munchkins but it was good to have a little get away to recharge before the holidays!

Graduation day!

We have four weeks until egg desentization graduation day! December 10th will be a big milestone for Charlotte. Just in time for her to enjoy cake on her birthday!
She continues to do a great job with the driving to DesMoines and taking her medicine twice daily!
