George is One month old!

We cannot believe it has already been an month! Time sure does fly by. Here are a couple of fun facts about the lil guy. George is a great sleeper and a great eater too! If he had it his way he would eat all day long! He is still in newborn diapers but we will move up to size 1 pretty soon. He has started to follow objects with his eyes and he makes the funniest noises all day long that sound like a dolphin. So cute! Also he LOVES to snuggle and so does mama so it works out great when it is just the two of us!

As a family of 4 we are learning something new everyday.. here are a few.
  • Time management is everything to make a day go smoothly.
  • We keep the backpacks(diaper bags) by the door for an easy escape full of diapers/change of outfits/ teddy bears/ blankets/ snacks/etc.
  • Sleep is precious and when you can get it you take advantage!
  • Oh and the laundry load has increased a lot!

I will keep you posted on what else we learn but here are a couple photos of George...

Snuggle pants and Contraptions

I am enjoying my snuggle time with Mr. Georgie!
Swaddled and snuggled in the swing

Ok, so I look very tired but that is the name of the game right now :)... at least I have mascara on!

Snuggle time with mama

How many contraptions does a newborn need?? Let me show you..

The main side to side swing  great for naps anytime during the day/night  (ignore Charlotte's shoes)

Pack-n-play (great changing station and occasional naps)

bassinet.. good for night time sleeping

small low to the ground swing.. and portable too!

Bouncer.. low to the ground and super comfy!

normal sized swing that we keep in the play room so  mama  can play
with Charlotte and still keep an eye on lil George

And the good ole' car seat! Mr. George sleeps in the 95% of the time at night time!
Yep, out of all the contraptions he loves his car seat the most! So funny to me!

learning her A-B-C's and figuring out the car seat

We have been working on Charlotte's Abc's and she now says a-b-c!! She recognizes the letter too! We are currently working on the rest of the alphabet! Here is a video

Charlotte has been watching me take George in and out of the car seat and now knows how to put her baby doll in and buckle her in! So cute!

Ok, I need to loosen the buckle...
... gently grab baby doll..

...put baby doll in car seat...

... buckle her in...

... pull the strap to make the buckle tight, and ta-da!! ready to go to the grocery store/shopping/lunch!

And what about my favorite part of the evening: coming home and dumping the candy stash onto the kitchen table? Here’s how to handle it:
0-2 year-olds: Forget the candy. An adorable costume, a juice box and a few safe cookies will do the trick. At this age, it’s a treat just to answer the door and pass out trinkets – as long as the trick-or-treaters aren’t scary monsters.

2-4 year-olds: Most kids this young can be fooled by one of my favorite tactics: the “Bait and Switch.” Give your child a plastic pumpkin for trick-or-treating. When you return home and while your child is busy washing his hands, swap the plastic pumpkin with an identical pumpkin that you filled ahead of time with safe treats.

On a non Halloween note.. I have found a couple new websites that offer great information for moms with kiddos that have allergies.
