27 down now in my 28th Week

Your Baby BOY

This week, your baby weighs almost 2 pounds (like a head of cauliflower) and is about 14 1/2 inches long with her legs extended. She's sleeping and waking at regular intervals, opening and closing her eyes, and perhaps even sucking her fingers. With more brain tissue developing, your baby's brain is very active now. While her lungs are still immature, they would be capable of functioning — with a lot of medical help — if she were born now. Chalk up any tiny rhythmic movements you may be feeling to a case of baby hiccups, which may be common from now on. Each episode usually lasts only a few moments, and they don't bother her, so just relax and enjoy the tickle.

Ok so it has gotten a little bit more interesting. Getting out of bed in the morning I now have to twist my body instead of just sitting up( a funny sight). I make some interesting noises while in motion, "Ugh" is the most used!
I am really keeping up on my water these days because it is getting warm again and I tend to get more braxton hicks when it is hot out so bring on the water!

I have started buying a couple little outfits for the little man but it is hard shop for clothes between seasons.. there might be more shopping when baby comes!

Oh and according to all of my books and websites I am in my thrid trimester! kind of crazy how fast time goes

27 weeks down! Now in my 28th week!

Summa time!

Your BIG GIRL toddler now

Wanting to be carried

The thrill of learning to walk and run may have launched your toddler into perpetual motion. She just doesn't want to stop – especially to do something as unexciting as sleep! Then again, sometimes a child perfectly capable of walking on her own two feet wants to be carried. A lot.( this mama is not carrying her toddler around- I cant pick up more than 25lbs)
Consider the circumstances. In public, your child may feel small and vulnerable or fear being lost. She may truly be tired. She may crave attention or affection. Carry her if you want to, but if you're going more than a block or two from home or the car, bring a stroller to save your back.

Charlotte is a little "chatty cathy"! What she reminds me of are the Chinese ladies at the nail salon that talk so fast but you cannot understand anything they are saying but look at you like "I just asked you a question.. are you going to answer?". So funny. I did learn that toddlers learn the art of language before learning the language and I would say she is right on!

We did find out this week that Charlotte is allergic to peanuts/peanut butter so we are very cautious of what she eats and what she doesnt. Halloween and Christmas candy and Grammy's yummy pecan pie might be our biggest battles!

We had a great father's day! He was pampered all day! We made breakfast for dada played really hard in the basment and then made him yummy pizza while he relaxed and enjoyed his day!
What a fun Father's Day! Love you Daddy!

98 days to go!!!!!!

How your baby BOY is growing:( 26 weeks down! Now in my 27th week)

or

The network of nerves in your baby's ears is better developed and more sensitive than before. He may now be able to hear both your voice and your partner's as you chat with each other. He's inhaling and exhaling small amounts of amniotic fluid, which is essential for the development of his lungs. These so-called breathing movements are also good practice for when he's born and takes that first gulp of air. And he's continuing to put on baby fat. He now weighs about a pound and two-thirds and measures 14 inches (an Eggplant or an English hothouse cucumber... a what?) from head to heel. If you're having a boy, his testicles are beginning to descend into his scrotum — a trip that will take about two to three days.

Holy Smokes! 98 days to go until we have baby boy in our arms! It still feels far out but when you start from 280 days it sounds like you are in the home stretch!

We thought we for sure had the name picked out but of course we found a couple more that we love so we are back to square one but we have a little bit of time! Names are hard!

I am still have trouble with what I can eat and what baby like and does not like. We play that game every day. Today I tried having grapefruit and baby did not like it. But he did like cantaloupe so we will stick with that! The braxton hicks have not gone away so I will make do for now. Good thing they dont hurt!

I felt baby BOY have the hiccups for the first time! Charlotte had these every day several times a day so I'm wondering if he will keep with the trend!?

26 weeks down! Now in my 27th week!
Welcome Baby Colette Kay Lindstrom! I had the privilege of watching her last week and she was a breeze! Such a doll! Charlotte and baby boy cannot wait to play with her!

A Year and a Half!! 18 months

Your BIG GIRL toddler now:

Body and mind

You may observe a spurt in physical development this month. Your toddler is likely to be surer on his feet, may love to climb all over the furniture, and can probably throw a ball underhand. He can also hold in his mind a clear memory of an object long after it's out of sight. Take advantage of this new capability by playing hide-and-seek with a favorite toy.

There may be days when all that physical energy is more than you can handle. Rather than fight it – after all, you can't change it – turn on some music, grab your little one, and invent some new dance steps together. Steve and Charlotte turn up the music in the basement and jam out. Next time I will get a picture to post!

I cannot believe our baby girl is now a year and a half! Time has flown by! She is really starting to show her personality a little bit more lately! After she gets breakfast we always have to feed Teddy and give him a sippy too! I think she will be a huge help with her little brother!

She went to Mother's Day Out for the first time and she loved it! So much that she didn't want to nap!

This past weekend we went to the Lake of the Ozarks with Aunt Lulu, Uncle Bob, and cuz Owen! We had a blast! The developmental gap is getting smaller between the two babies so they could play with each other and keep each other occupied all day and I'm sure if they had it their way all night!
Good morning!

diaper bums!

25 weeks down now in my 26th week

How your baby BOY is growing:(25 weeks down! now in my 26th week!)

Head to heels, your baby now measures about 13 1/2 inches. Her weight — a pound and a half — isn't much more than an average rutabaga/eggplant, but she's beginning to exchange her long, lean look for some baby fat. As she does, her wrinkled skin will begin to smooth out and she'll start to look more and more like a newborn. She's also growing more hair — and if you could see it, you'd now be able to discern its color and texture.

Holy movement! This little man can move! Every time Steve puts his hands on my belly he is amazed at how much movement he feels. He wonders how I sleep at night with a little squirmy baby inside of me. I tell well some nights I get sleep and some nights sleep is the last thing this little man wants to do! He eventually settles down so mama can get some shut eye!

I am still having braxton hicks randomly throughout the day so we are hoping that stops soon. I have read to drink more water to stop the braxton hicks but I feel like I am drinking enough water to take care of this flooding issue!

25 weeks down. Now in my 26th week!

Pass the corn please!

Your Baby Boy! (24weeks down and now in my 25th week) 6 months!

Your baby's growing steadily, having gained about 4 ounces since last week. That puts him at just over a pound. Since he's almost a foot long (picture an ear of corn), he cuts a pretty lean figure at this point, but his body is filling out proportionally and he'll soon start to plump up. His brain is also growing quickly now, and his taste buds are continuing to develop. His lungs are developing "branches" of the respiratory "tree" as well as cells that produce surfactant, a substance that will help his air sacs inflate once he hits the outside world. His skin is still thin and translucent, but that will start to change soon.

6 MONTHS PREGNANT!! ahh so exciting! I still cannot believe it! Crazy to think that in two weeks I will be in my third trimester! Time is a flyin!
We have been at the pool a lot lately and I think and I am definitely getting some looks at my belly. I'm sure I am great birth control for some of the babysitters/nannies :)

Cravings? Nothing sounds good to me right now. Steve was making chicken yesterday and the smell of it made me want to lose my dinner. That is that first time that has happened.

I had my 6 month appointment today and the doctor put me on some new prenatal vitamin since mine is not making me feel very good. I have also had braxton hicks about 7 times a day and she told me to stop picking up things over 25 lbs. Well that should be a challenge because I stay at home with a little 25 lb sassy pants!

Here is a picture taken today and the other is me at 24 weeks with Charlotte! Old wives' tale says that if you are carrying your baby low, it is predicted that your baby's gender will be male. If you are carrying high, then, it is predicted that your baby's gender will be female. I think I have proven this one wrong!

24 week down, now in my 25th week! Measuring 25weeks along

Preggers with Charlotte at 24 weeks.. measuring 23 weeks
Yep it has started. I now cry at tv commercials and radio commercials.

17 months 4 week old lil missy

Your Toddler now:
It will be a year or two before your toddler leaves most of his tantrums behind. Until then, expect to deal with outbursts of anger and frustration on a regular basis. You can cut down on the frequency of tantrums by making sure your child gets enough sleep and eats well during the day. It's probably unrealistic to expect your energetic toddler to sit still for three square meals a day, so try giving your child a variety of foods throughout the day. Remember, a hungry, sleep-deprived toddler is a meltdown waiting to happen.

This week we have been spending a lot of time at the pool and Charlotte LOVES the water so it is prefect! We go up and stay for a couple of hours at a time then she falls right asleep when we get home! This could be the perfect situation for this mama!
My new favorite food! Yummy watermelon!

No I have no idea who took the last oreo!

June!!

Your Toddler: 17 months 3 weeks!

You're probably spending a lot of time trying to figure out what your toddler says, but does she understand everything you say? Speak in clear, simple sentences to make sure you're getting your point across.

Hearing and language development are inextricably linked, which is why you may want to have your child's hearing tested if you find that she's not talking as much or as well as her peers or can't follow simple instructions from you.
This weekend we went out to the lake and on the way she really liked seeing all of the cows. She now looks for the "moo-moos" when we are in the car! We took our first boat ride of the year and Charlotte loved every minute of it! She was saying "weeee" while we driving!
This week I asked her where the baby is and she pointed right at my belly! We are making progress.. she no longer thinks my belly button is a baby!
Loving the boat ride

Look at that pose! Left foot in front of the right like a superstar!
With Cuz Owen on a wagon ride! Do these two look alike?!

About to take her out of the carseat  big girl seat, I noticed she feel asleep with her hand in her snack cup

too tired to finish her snacks

How your baby BOY is growing: 23 weeks down.. now in my 24 week(wow almost 6 months!)

Turn on the radio and sway to the music. With her sense of movement well developed by now, your baby can feel you dance. And now that she's more than 11 inches long ( holy smokes)and weighs just over a pound (about as much as a large mango), you may be able to see her squirm underneath your clothes. Blood vessels in her lungs are developing to prepare for breathing, and the sounds that your baby's increasingly keen ears pick up are preparing her for entry into the outside world. Loud noises that become familiar now — such as your dog barking or the roar of the vacuum cleaner — probably won't faze her when she hears them outside the womb.
He is still moving a mile a minute! I am anxious for our next doctor visit to get another peak and him! I think we have narrowed down our name for little man which is excited so we can start monograming a couple of things for the nursery! We did buy our baby bedding this week to but we are in no rush to put it in the crib for a couple of months. But better to be prepared right?!
It is crazy to think in just 16 weeks we will have a baby boy in our arms!
23 weeks down! Now in my 24th week!

Congrats to Mike and Ginny Donohue on the arrival of Madeline Mae this past week! Congrats to Brooks and Tara Tapp on the arrival of Hadley Grace! So fun to have so many little girls!
We have three more this summer coming up Baby Boy Fowler, Baby Lindstrom, and Baby Johnson! We cannot wait to meet you!
