Fun Memorial Day weekend

Charlotte caught her first fish of the summer with Uncle Jake and Uncle Jeff! She was a big girl and threw them back by herself!

Cousin fun at the Lake. Matthew(2yrs), Charlotte(3 1/2yrs), and George(20 months)

Charlotte and dada. This year in the pool Charlotte was so brave. She just jumped in by herself and went down the slide by herself. Our little fish

Yaya came in town to help out and George took full advantage of some loving with her.

Made another trip to Des Moines and Charlotte did great yet again!

week in review

Charlotte is getting ready for her first dance recital  in a couple of weeks!

We headed to Des Moines for Charlotte's Egg desensitization. This photo was taken while they were patiently playing together. Charlotte had another successful week with her egg desensitization!

We loaded them up in the car at 4:45 am in their jammies. George had an accident so he is in Charlotte's biker shorts :)

We headed to the Zoo to kick of the weekend!

Charlotte kept saying " oh hi dino! I'm Charlotte"

George would not take his eyes off of the dinos just in case they decided to charge

Trying to make them look at the camera was inpossible. They were so captivated

28 days to go...maybe

28 days to go

Baby girl is around the size of these fruit/veggies

the Crenshaw melon- never heard of it :)
the winter melon

Went in for my weekly appointment and I was a little bit more dilated and more effaced and baby is very low. She said my belly bump was measuring 34 weeks which means baby has moved down to get into labor position. It also turns out that little lady had a high heart rate so both baby and I were monitored for on a NST(non-stress test) and she did not score well so I went into another test called BPP( Biophysical Profile). She scored a 6 out of 8 so I will be retested next week. They (doc on call, nurse practioner, ultrasound tech) all said that if anything changes or feels funny to head straight to labor and delivery before the next retest. Kinda crazy so I am heading upstairs to pack my bag just in case. Honestly I don't think anything will happen before my next test but better to be safe than sorry.

We just nailed down the name! That took so much longer than I thought but we love it! We have decided to keep it a secret until the delivery.

How will I spend my Memorial Day weekend?? Cockatil of choice will be water on the rocks and I will be resting with my feet up watching for "funny" signs of labor. Isn't everything kind of funny at this point in pregnancy :)

Ha!

Starting Egg Desensitization

We made our first trip to Des Moines today and it went very well. We started the day very early (4:30am) but we are determined to start this process so loaded up the car with food and tons of DVDs and off we went to Des Moines.
Once we made it to the hospital we met with the Doctor and she explained again the process of the food desensitization. Once we made sure we understood everything in came the first round. It comes in liquid form for the first third of the process and I guess tastes like Kool-aid. The second phase is in pill form and the third phase is in powder form.
1/250,000 of an egg white down the hatchet like a champ
This first appointment lasted 4 hours.. 3 hours of increasing her doses and 1 hour making sure there is no reaction. Her doses were increased every 15 minutes starting at 1/250,000th of an egg. We are sent home with the maintenance dose to take twice a day every day for the rest of the week until next Tuesday when her dose increases. Each appointment after this one will last one hour of an increased dose then monitoring to make sure there is no reaction. This will continue depending on her progress up to 26 weeks. So we are hoping by Thanksgiving she will be able to have Dada's yummy homemade rolls!

So we had some time to kill while in this room the size of a closet.

Cinderella was a must!
We were so proud of Charlotte! She did such a great job. After each dose she asked if she could now eat eggs... Not for a couple of months but we are working towards it!

But for now they are still on the DO NOT EAT list. This is how they are viewed at our house.

George was in good hands with Mimi and J-pa! Thank you for taking this bundle of joy for the day! Hope he was a good for you!
Having a blast picking out toys for pepper Mimi and J-pa's new puppy!

As soon as the day was over and we were back in Omaha it was a record 102 degrees so out came the swimsuits and we turned on the sprinklers!
Taking the cars through the car wash

George was having a hard time with the unpredictable sprinkle of water

Overall a good day and a memorable one too!

Auntie Jessica's Birthday

Making the cake look perfect for Auntie Jessica! Taking the job seriously!

We need more candles..

Happy Birthday Auntie Jessica!

The dentist was fun!

Charlotte LOVES to talk to anyone who will listen!  And this nice technician  listened!

The technician said her teeth would look like princess teeth after her cleaning. Charlotte picked Ariel's teeth...what do ya think?

This place was awesome! Tv's on the ceiling for the kids to watch while they  had dental work done and earphones to listen to the tvs listen to music. And a choo choo train going around the entire room!

Ya ya came in town to help out for the week! What fun!
George of course watching the choo choo go round and round the room!

Keep calm and waddle on!

I went into the doctor this week because I was having regular contractions and braxton hick contractions. They hooked me up to a contraction monitor and found that I have an irritable uterus. I was timing contractions every 10-12 minutes apart.
Monday the kiddos came with me to the doctor. Not the best decision I have ever made.  Charlotte found every button to push and I could not do a darn thing being hooked up to these monitors. But George was content just sitting in my lap as long as he had an animal cracker in his hand :)

Here I am again hooked up on Friday with more irritability so they have decided to put me on some medication to calm everything down.  The kids did not come with me this time :)
W had an ultrasound and baby is very low and sitting just ready to progress. I am dilated to a one and 40% effaced. They have instructed me to lay low and drink a ton of fluids since it is still a little early for her to make her arrival. They worry about so many contractions changing my cervix so they did an ultrasound and my cervix was at an ok length but they decided to do a test to see if the baby was going to come in the next two weeks and the first one came back positive(eek) and the last two have come back negative. So who really knows...I don't think I will go into labor before the end of May but I think it will be an uncomfortable ride there. It is all worth it in the end!

I honestly think with each pregnancy every thing becomes more relaxed and happens faster because your body already knows what to do. Hence how uncomfortable women get towards the end. I'm sure that the lady in Arkansas who has had 20 some kids probably lets the babies walk out :)

Here is a good picture to best explain it .. I am letter B.

this week- baby is looking low and I feel every bit of it.

Waddling is in full force. Ha!

This is my new motto :)
