March Madness

Whats new this week with Charlotte: 1) She has learned to put her purse on her shoulder and sit in her little tikes car and wave while saying "bye-bye". We wondered why she was doing this but then I left to run some errands and realized I had my purse on waving bye bye in my car! She is such a little sponge. 2) She can point out your nose and your eyes but just this week she can point out her own nose and her own eyes! She grows every week!

In Kc cheering on the Jayhawks! Too bad they lost against VCU
:(

Your toddler now( 15months 3 weeks)
Keeping small hands busy keys, pencils, lipstick, phones: All may be fascinating to your toddler. These objects are fun to look at and manipulate, and when your toddler sees you using them, he wants to do the same.
The problem is, you might not want him demolishing your lipstick! (And many of these items, including lipstick, can be toxic or pose a choking hazard.) Your challenge is to find things he can safely use to satisfy his need to mimic – like a set of plastic keys, an old purse of yours with a hairbrush and comb, a cheap wallet. There are plenty of other ways to keep your toddler's hands occupied for more than a minute or two. For example, fill a laundry basket with safe odds and ends, such as plastic containers and lids, scarves, hats, and wooden spoons and other big utensils. He'll love getting his hands on objects that look like they have a purpose and trying to figure out how to use them.

How baby Dugger is growing:

This week's big developments: Your baby can now squint, frown, grimace, pee, and possibly suck his thumb! Thanks to brain impulses, his facial muscles are getting a workout as his tiny features form one expression after another. His kidneys are producing urine, which he releases into the amniotic fluid around him — a process he'll keep up until birth. He can grasp, too, and if you're having an ultrasound now, you may even catch him sucking his thumb.
In other news: Your baby's stretching out. From head to bottom, he measures 3 1/2 inches — about the size of a lemon — and he weighs 1 1/2 ounces. His body's growing faster than his head, which now sits upon a more distinct neck. By the end of this week, his arms will have grown to a length that's in proportion to the rest of his body. (His legs still have some lengthening to do.) He's starting to develop an ultra-fine, downy covering of hair, called lanugo, all over his body. Though you can't feel his tiny punches and kicks yet, your little pugilist's hands and feet (which now measure about 1/2 inch long) are more flexible and active.

I have completed 14 weeks so I am now in my 15th week! This past week I had a horrible cold and am now starting to feel much better thanks to Zpack. Man are Zpacks magic or what!
Somedays I think boy and some days I think girl..still clueless. We are looking forward to finding out the sex so we can start our planning for the nursery and Charlotte's big girl room! We will find out this May just in time for Mother's day!
