16 month old and 16 weeks down!

Whats new with Charlotte: 1) She can now blow kisses 2)She can now give high fives, 3) she now says WOW, 4) She will be 16 months on saturday! Crazy how time flies! 5) she now says "ish" for fish 6)Oh she now talks with her hands! She blabs away in her toddler language but uses her hands and arms to get her point across.. so cute!
We have started talking more about babies this week so she has started to say "baby" but does not yet understand that she will have a baby sister or baby brother soon. I think that will come with time and the growth of my belly!

At the zoo with the Penguins!

yummmmmm!

look at all of the "ish" (fish)!

Your toddler now
Scary sounds

Fear of loud noises sometimes surfaces unexpectedly. Your 16-month-old may cower, cry, and act downright terrified at the sound of a vacuum cleaner, a thunderstorm, a siren, fireworks, or a popping balloon.
Offer calm reassurance. A hug and an acknowledgement of his feelings – "Wow, that was a scary surprise, wasn't it?" – may be sufficient. Show your child how he can cover his ears to give him some control. Your toddler will eventually outgrow a fear of noises as he gains an understanding of where they come from and that they're harmless.

How your baby's growing: Avocado(4 months down now on to the 5th!)

Get ready for a growth spurt. In the next few weeks, your baby will double his weight and add inches to his length. Right now, he's about the size of an avocado: 4 1/2 inches long (head to rump) and 3 1/2 ounces. His legs are much more developed, his head is more erect than it has been, and his eyes have moved closer to the front of his head. His ears are close to their final position, too. The patterning of his scalp has begun, though his locks aren't recognizable yet. He's even started growing toenails. And there's a lot happening inside as well. For example, his heart is now pumping about 25 quarts of blood each day, and this amount will continue to increase as your baby continues to develop.

Today we had our 16 weeks visit to check in with the doctor and make sure everything is going well. Well I guess it is going well because my appointment lasted all of 10 minutes. She asked how things were going and I asked a couple of question and that was about it. We did get to hear little "avocado's" heat beat: 157. Which is high and and according to wivestales it will be a girl. We did get an ultrasound .. I will post those as soon as I scan them in!
We will find out the sex of the baby on our next visit!   Are you team bow ties or pig tales?
