Your toddler now 18months and 4 weeks
Building vocabulary
Your toddler's vocabulary will grow by leaps and bounds over the coming months. While the first single words are usually nouns ("cat," "ball," "bottle"), phrases that use nouns and verbs tend to follow within a few months of first words: "Me want." "Go bye-bye."
For every chatterbox, there's a child who's relatively quiet. It's still too early to worry about a late talker, although if your child doesn't speak at least 15 words by now, it's a good idea to consult your doctor, who may recommend seeing a speech therapist to rule out any problems.~
not too worried about Charlotte.. all she does is talk talk talk! She may not make perfect sense but she understands the "art of language".
The 4th of July weekend was filled with family, friends and watermelon! We had a great time seeing everyone and staying up past our bed time! We played in the water, walked in our neighborhood parade, went to a pettng zoo, and had great food!
Last week we took our first nap in our big girl room, and it was a success! It wasn't a long nap but hey it was more than I was expecting. Today marks the day we start "night night" time in the big girl room! Wish us luck!
